International Baltic Congress

The 57th International Baltic Congress is one of the best known Polish summer festivals with the attendance reaching 300 pairs in the largest of the tournaments. The event takes place in Sopot – a retreat for the royalty and the rich for centuries. Sopot’s exclusive air remained even through the communist era, and the tony town has undergone a building boom in recent years. Boasting beautiful beaches and ritzy resorts, Sopot is also known for its Wooden Pier (the longest in Europe), the lovely mid-woods Forest Opera and lively Monte Cassino Street. The International Baltic Congress meets highest tournament standards with live scores, personal scores available after each session and tournament directors recognised by EBL and WBF.
Sopot is just 10km from Gdansk Airport which is the third largest airport in Poland with a great number of international and domestic flights.
