Apolinary was born in 1948 and qualified in Chemistry.
He first represented Poland in swimming competitions.
He represented Poland in Open and Senior teams over many years, winning Gold, Silver and Bronze medals. Apolinary won the World Mixed Pairs in 1994 and several further medals in pairs events in European and World Championships.
He also won the Silver medal in the World Open Individual in 1998.
He has won many Polish and international tournaments.
