16th European Small Federation Games – Microsite

The 2024 European Small Federations Games champions are Serbia. Congratulations to Boris ALTMAN, Goran RADISIC, Veljko VUJCIC and Dimitraki ZIPOVSKI, who played four-handed throughout. They dedicated their victory to Dr. Darko Jevremovic, the late President of the Serbian Bridge Association.

Winners: SERBIA

Serbia ended the championship with a total of 171.12 VOs from their 13 matches, putting them comfortably clear of runners-up Ukraine (Yuliy CHUMAK, Petro KARLYKOV, Gennadii RYBNIKOV, Oleg SAPOSNICOV), who scored 154.61 VPs, and third-placed Slovakia (Richard GABRIEL, Boris KOROS, Juraj KVOCEK, Jakub RUMANCIK, Martin VODICKA, Michal VODICKA) on 150.61. Just out of the medals were Hungary, with 146.28 VPs. Latvia, our hosts, came next in fifth spot.

2nd place: UKRAINE
3rd place: SLOVAKIA

There were no maximum 20-0 wins on Friday but there was a very low-scoring match in Round 13. Romania beat Hungary by just 5-2 IMPs over 12 boards. With my luck it’s a miracle that I didn’t have that as my match to watch on BBO and write about.
