The EBL is in discussion with the Madeira Bridge Federation about the possibility of holding the 2nd European National Mixed Teams Championships in conjunction with the Open, Women & Seniors National Teams Championships in Funchal in June 2020.
We expect a firm decision within the next few weeks.
The first edition was held separately this year in part because it was too late to organize it in Ostend in 2018 following the WBF’s decision to include a Mixed Team Category in this year’s World Championships.
There are differing points of view on holding the Mixed event together with, or separate from, the other categories but the EBL would prefer to have tried both alternatives and have reactions from both NBOs and players before deciding about its future direction.
