Patrick Jourdain

The European Bridge League is deeply saddened to hear of the death of Patrick Jourdain, President of the International Bridge Press Association. Patrick was the Bridge Correspondent for the English Daily Telegraph. He was a very experienced player with more than seventy appearances over six decades representing Wales in the Home Internationals.

Patrick was Principal of the Cardiff School of Bridge where he taught over a thousand people to play bridge. He was a social golfer and tennis-player. He never married. The EBL wishes to express its sincere condolences to the members of Patrick’s family and to his many friends and colleagues throughout the world of bridge. A full obituary will be posted in due course, together with information about his funeral.
