After eight days of competition on RealBridge, Team Munich Plus from Germany (David Cole, Kevin Castner, Harald Bletz and Christoph Ernst) claimed the Julian Klukowski Trophy.
After qualifying for the semifinal just 1 VP above the cutoff, they went on to win their semifinal match and then defeated Team Kalish in the final, which ended 84–32 in favour of Munich Plus.
The Israeli team Kalish (Avi Kalish, Nir Grinberg, Joseph Engel, Dani Cohen, Eitan Orenstein and Doron Yadlin) took the silver medal.
Moses (a USA-Poland connection featuring Andy Goodman, Venkatrao Koneru, Michal Kwiecien, Tod Moses, Mike Passell, Eric Rodwell, Doug Simson and Wlodzimierz Starkowski) won the Swiss playoff for third place.
These teams will receive EBL gold, silver and bronze medals. Munich Plus will also be awarded free entry for either all events at the 2027 European Winter Transnational Championships or the senior events at the 2027 European Transnational Championships.
The next EBL Online championship will be the Mixed Teams event — for the first time in the calendar. The European Online Transnational Mixed Teams Championship will take place from 14 to 17 May.
